St. Andrew’s Grammar is known among our families for our warm, welcoming and inclusive community; we really take care of each other. We truly believe that we are a family. St. Andrew’s is a diverse and multicultural community with a unique Greek heritage that extends a friendly hand to all nationalities and cultures. At present, we have students enrolled from approximately 45 cultural backgrounds!
Our community extends beyond the students and teachers at the school – it includes our families, our Parents and Friends Association, our connections with the Hellenic Community of Western Australia and our neighbours in Dianella and surrounding suburbs.
Parents Representatives and Parent & Friends (P&F) Association
We have parent representatives who represent each primary classroom and parent cohort representatives in Secondary. These are crucial positions which not only assist us with communicating with our community but also have a part to play in liaising with the school on all matters facing the children. All parents at St. Andrew’s Grammar are invited to be members of the Parents and Friends Association and as such are invited to join P&F Meetings, which are held at least three times a year.
Parent Coffee Mornings
The viewpoints of our parents are very important to us. As a result twice a year (once a semester) we hold small informal opportunities for parents to talk directly with the Principal and members of the SLT on all matters facing the children and discuss further.
Events
St Andrew’s Grammar regularly holds events inviting our extended community to celebrate special occasions. These include Greek celebrations and services such as OXI Day and Greek Independence Day, special assemblies or seasonal events like our ANZAC and Battle of Crete Assemblies, Arts Festival, Christmas Carols Evening and our popular Grandparents’ Day, just to name a few.
The St. Andrew’s Grammar School Foundation
The St. Andrew’s Grammar School Foundation was developed to raise funds to assist with managing, expanding and improving the facilities for the benefit of our students.
