Scholarships

St. Andrew’s Grammar offers a limited number of Scholarships for students demonstrating outstanding academic ability and excellence. Scholarships are open to both existing and prospective students who always strive to achieve their best and whose place at St. Andrew’s Grammar will benefit themselves, the School and the greater community.

The Academic Scholarship exam takes place in early March each year. Registrations open in Term 4 and close approximately 10 days before the exam date.

The exam is designed and graded by the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER). Parents receive individual feedback about their child’s performance on the exam. The School Board determines the number of Scholarships and the discount to be awarded on each Scholarship each year.

How to Apply for a Scholarship

  1. Scholarship applicants who fit the above criteria must register to apply through the ACER Scholarships website and pay the application fee of $110.
  2. Applicants must sit an ACER Scholarship Test. The Test is not one that students can study for, rather it is skills based to identify a student’s ability to interpret, infer, deduce and think critically.

Further details regarding application requirements will be provided upon registration.
